Candidates for Confirmation are required to regularly attend a Faith Formation program and attend Mass. Community service projects also are part of the Confirmation process. Rite of Election is held on the first Sunday of Lent. The Sunday before Confirmation, candidates attend the Rite of Sending. Confirmation is held in April or May -- determined by the Archdiocese -- and is held at either the Cathedral in St. Paul or the Basilica in Minneapolis.
