Pastor: Father Stan Mader

Rev. Stan Mader

Rev. Stan Mader was born in 1956, the fourth of six children and grew up on a dairy farm just outside St. Bonifacius, Minn.. He attended Catholic grade school throughout and graduated from Winsted Holy Trinity High School in 1974 and went on to earn a BA in Mathematics from St. John’s University in 1978. For the next 10 years he was a system software specialist on large mainframe computers. Six of those years were with Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys), and for four years he had his own computer consulting business. In 1988, after years of considering the priesthood, he was accepted into the seminary to study for priesthood for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. He was ordained a priest on May 30, 1992.

The first two years -- 1992-1994 -- of his priesthood were at St. Joseph in Hopkins. Then from 1994-1998 he had a dual assignment of co-director of the Vocation Office for the Archdiocese while serving as associate pastor at St. Mark’s in St. Paul. For the past 11 years -- 1998-2009 -- he had been pastor at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Mound, Minn.

Secretary: Rhonda Rother

Rhonda Rother Rhonda Rother was born in 1954 and grew up in Eagan, Minn., and is the third in a family of three, one boy and two girls. She has been married to her husband, Steve, for 36 years and has two sons, Marty and Vince. She attended parochial and public schools Trinity Lone Oak grade school in Eagan and Rosemount High School in Rosemount. Rhonda worked for New Holland Farm Machinery in the Eagan, Bloomington and Burnsville offices in the finance, sales, parts and marketing departments for 26 years. After the offices were relocated back to New Holland, Penn., in 2000, Rhonda joined the parish staff at the Church of St. John in Vermillion. Her hobbies include genealogy, flower gardening, card making and keeping books for various family members.
